Ben and Erin Napier are sharing the sweet love story that began long before their days as HGTV stars. The ‘Home Town’ and ‘Home Town Takeover’ hosts reflect on their 21-year relationship — from their first meeting in college to building a beautiful life together in their small-town Mississippi community.
Ben recalls spotting Erin during the first week of school at Jones College in Ellisville, Mississippi — instantly captivated by her adorable pixie haircut.
After months of admiring her from afar, their paths finally crossed on freshman year move-out day at McDonald’s, where they shared their first conversation. In 2007, after two years of dating, Ben proposed to Erin in an emotional moment where he found himself crying on one knee.
They married in 2008, with Ben’s father — a minister — guiding them through pre-marital counseling and officiating their wedding. Now proud parents to daughters Helen (born in January 2018) and Mae (born in May 2021), Ben and Erin reflect on their journey of love, family, and partnership.
