Tavish Forsyth, the former program director at the Kennedy Center’s Opera Institute, gained attention after posting a 35-minute video online in which he strips naked and delivers a monologue. Forsyth is described on the Kennedy Center website as a "queer artist and educator with Celtic roots," who aims to empower individuals to unleash their imagination and embody their freedom, and has also founded the liberation-focused Bird City Improv school.
