Remembering Val Kilmer: He Wore BATMAN Mask One Last Time Just Weeks Ago

Only five weeks ago, Val Kilmer donned that famous Batman mask one last time while filming with artist and musician David Choe. Val was the Caped Crusader in 1995’s “Batman Forever,” Doc Holliday in “Tombstone,” and the legendary Jim Morrison in “The Doors.” But Val might have been most famous for playing Iceman opposite Tom Cruise in “Top Gun.” His last movie appearance was reprising that iconic role in “Top Gun: Maverick.” Val died from pneumonia at his home in Los Angeles at 65. The sudden passing came after he had fought — and won — his battle with throat cancer.
