Glen Powell received the Star of the Year award at the CinemaCon 2025 Big Screen Achievement Awards, chatting with “Extra’s” Roqui Theus. He reflected on his “surreal” 2024 and big things on tap this year with “The Running Man,” which he explained is very different from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s movie. Glen also dished on how “special” it was getting to have his friend and mentor Tom Cruise watch “The Running Man” trailer at CinemaCon and give him “the ultimate high five.” Plus, Glen remembered their “Top Gun: Maverick” co-star Val Kilmer, calling him a “special guy” and sharing how he helped the young cast on “Top Gun: Maverick.”
