Gabriela Hearst’s Fall 2025 collection explored themes of ancient femininity and sustainability, drawing inspiration from archaeologist Marija Gimbutas’s book The Language of the Goddess. The collection featured motifs from prehistoric cave markings, spray-painted on shearling and embroidered onto dresses, reflecting a connection to early matriarchal societies.

Hearst continues to push responsible design forward. A standout silk coat mimicked the look of shearling, and ethically sourced python skin from Florida’s Everglades appeared on accessories. Vibrant denim was crafted from 100% recycled cotton, and vintage handbags were refurbished with modern straps, reinforcing the idea that “new is not always better.”

The collection combined artisanal techniques with innovative materials, from woven leather resembling snakeskin to cashmere knits designed to mimic reptilian textures. Rooted in Earth-conscious principles, Hearst’s designs balanced structure and sensuality, celebrating the tactile beauty of craftsmanship.
