“Extra” catches up with “The Mandalorian and Grogu” director Jon Favreau at Stars Wars Celebration Japan after their big presentation. He said coming to an event with a live crowd to present footage with the cast “really charges our batteries” for the next year as they finish the movie. Jon also dished on opening up the world for IMAX and making sure the visual effects had the depth and complexity for big screen viewing. Plus, Favreau raved about Sigourney Weaver and why she was perfect for her role as Colonel Bishop.
