Rising Star: Comedian Usama Siddiquee

Up and coming comedian Usama Siddiquee brought the laughs to Tuesday night’s episode of America’s Got Talent.

Siddiquee, a Bengali-American, told host Terry Crews that he was going to go to medical school but wound up opting for comedy instead. The comedian is currently a teacher who didn’t mince words on the struggles he has faced to become a star.

“Right now it’s terrible gigs in terrible bars,” he said. “The idea is let’s go to the next level.”

Here’s hoping last night was a giant step in the right direction.
