‘Narcissistic’ Donald Trump Mocked for Saying He Will Purposefully Lose the First Presidential Debat

During an interview with Steve Gruber, Trump, 78, claimed he might let Biden, 81, win the event, as he wants to make sure the president doesn’t get removed from the Democratic ticket. A third person added, "Trump says he might lose the debate on purpose to keep Biden in the race. "Donald Trump has a long history of playing games with debates: complaining about the rules, breaking those rules, pulling out at the last minute, or not showing up at all-which he’s done repeatedly in all three cycles he’s run for president," said Biden’s reelection campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon. "President Biden made his terms clear for two one-on-one debates, and Donald Trump accepted those terms.
