An insider commented to DailyMail.com, “Ryan was a driving force in requesting a gag order for Justin’s attorney.” The source added, “Ryan’s production company has many projects underway, and he would be devastated if this impacted them.”
Reynolds is reportedly concerned about Lively’s career, especially as her role in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel was intended to signal her return to work after focusing on their four children. A source criticized the notion of a gag order for Baldoni and Freedman, insisting they have the right to defend themselves and stating, “This gag order request is a joke.”
The conflict began with rumors at the August film premiere, escalated with Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni in December, and has since led to his $400 million defamation suit against the couple.
