“Wicked” star Ethan Slater chatted with “Extras” Melvin Robert on the carpet at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards. He sang the praises of director Jon M. Chu as both a brilliant artist and a good person. Ethan also reacted to the headlines that there could be a big “Wicked” musical performance to open the Oscars. Plus, he spoke about how Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are the same onscreen and off, always taking care of each other and everyone else. When it comes to the second movie, Ethan said he hasn’t seen too much of it yet, but he promised it will be really special.
