[SYSTEM] SYSTEM Best Looks Fall 2025 Women Paris – Fashion Channel
SYSTEM celebrates its 35th anniversary this year with a dynamic Fall 2025 collection that blends contemporary updates with classic style. Creative Director Kim revisited his own archives for fresh takes on iconic designs, notably drawing inspiration from the 1990s. Bias-cut slipdresses layered over T-shirts nod to that era, but Kim was careful not to linger in nostalgia, instead offering a modern perspective.
This collection is a testament to Kim’s signature blend of British-inspired style, with collars twisted, flipped, or tied at the neck as if swept up by the wind. Outerwear was packed with jackets sturdy enough to brave the gusts, including collaborations with British brand Baracuta, featuring standout Harrington styles. A black zip-front jacket with silver studs brought a rock ‘n’ roll edge to the collection.
Plaid and updated workshirts made their mark, with stylist Virginie Benarroch using smart layering to mix checks, tweed, and fuzzy cropped coats over longer blazers. Voluminous pleated trousers added dimension and drama.
Kim also introduced new textural richness with heavier fabrics like wool, alpaca, and velvet, bringing cozy and substantial depth to the collection. Fuzzy sweaters offered a tactile warmth, while the addition of Americana elements, inspired by Norman Rockwell’s “The Prom Dress,” injected a sense of fashion as exploration.
A new monogram pattern, inspired by piano notes, debuted on a silky pajama-style top, rounding off a collection that embraces both nostalgia and forward-thinking design. With Paris embracing the brand, SYSTEM’s future looks brighter than ever, and Kim has his eyes set on New York next.
