Michelle Trachtenberg has died, ET confirms. She was 39. Police say she was found dead in an apartment in New York City, but there’s no cause of death details at this time. Michelle was best known to a generation for her child star roles with Nickelodeon, including her big-screen debut in the 1996 childrens book series adaptation, ‘Harriet the Spy.’ For multiple seasons, she was best known as Sarah Michelle Gellar’s younger sister, Dawn Summers, on ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer.’ While her career slowed down in recent years, Michelle worked consistently in Hollywood for decades, scoring roles in comedies like ‘Eurotrip’ and ‘Take Me Home Tonight.’ She recently reprised her ‘Gossip Girl’ character, Georgina Sparks, on Max’s reboot in 2022. In a statement to ET, Michelle loved ones say, ‘The family requests privacy for their loss. There are no further details at this time.’
