According to Anupreeta Das’s book, *Billionaire, Nerd, Savior, King: Bill Gates and His Quest to Shape Our World*, Gates initially befriended Epstein in hopes of leveraging his influence for a Nobel Prize in disease eradication. Gates denied most allegations from Das’s book, calling them “highly sensationalized” and filled with “outright falsehoods.” His representative stated Gates deeply regrets meeting with Epstein.
