“Octomom” Natalie Suleman is back in the spotlight but says this time, she and her 14 children are reclaiming the narrative. She sat down with “Extra’s” Mona Kosar Abdi to talk about Lifetime’s new biopic “I Was Octomom,” out March 8, and accompanying docuseries, “Confessions of Octomom,” premiering March 10. Suleman explains that her youngest kids are now 16 years old and have wanted to share their truth for years, making now the right time to do the show. Looking back, she insists she never sought out fame after the octuplets were born, but admits she “sacrificed my integrity” out of desperation to provide for her children. She also shares her feelings about the moniker “Octomom” and shoots down the narrative that she tried to change her appearance to look like Angelina Jolie. As for her own personal life, Natalie says she addresses her decision to be a single mom in the series, as well as questions about the identify of her sperm donor.
