Director Thembi L. Banks and actors Algee Smith, Sanaa Lathan and Sierra Capri spoke to THR about their film ‘Young. Wild. Free.’ Banks shared how the project was inspired by her love of John Hughes movies and wanting to tell a coming-of-age story that reflected her community. Smith and Capri also opened up about the eight weeks of rehearsals they did leading up to shooting the project, as well as why they found the script "refreshing."
